Nico Brina comes from Switzerland and on his writing paper it says: "Boogie Woogie Power - Rock'n'Roll Show - Blues Feeling". And there's no better way to describe this brand new CD. With 18 self written songs Brina, supported by Charlie Weibel or Tobias Schramm on drums and Eisse Hommes on bass, shows us what a Boogie Woogie Party is. The fact that he once got into the Guinness book of records for the fastest Boogie Woogie in the world (608 beats with the left hand in one minute, editors note) does not play a large role with this album. Good song writing, a cross section from slow blues to Rock'n'Roll, and the excellent accompaniment means that you won't get bored listening to this almost 50 minute-long record. The guest appearance of the brilliant Rod Piazza on the excellent "Crying Cats And Dogs" is the icing on the cake of a strong CD. Hopefully he will have more shows on German stages in the future.
